Watching Birds

Watching Birds is a self-portrait printed onto paper and fabric. This piece was an exploration of line weight and negative and positive space. This was my first experience with printmaking, and I struggled a lot with getting details to be discernable in the final prints of my carving. I really enjoyed the final printing process and experimented a lot with different inks and the placement of the print on different areas of the fabric.
